Shark hunting is serious and dangerous business. T the time of Jaws it was a very popular thing to do. Became a very manly thing to do. Lots of hype and very macho. Makos were exciting to catch and eating Mako was considered a delicacy. Many times what we have thought were sea scllops were actually Mako steaks cut out witth cookie cutters. Pretty good.
