Brian, guys like us weren’t made for soccer. Even though our brand of football required us to be rough, tuff, and nasty, I think soccer is a tougher and more refined game. Had we stuck it out, we probably would have earned plenty of dough. Remember, we were physical brutes as opposed to the average soccer guy. Thinking about it, I still would rather our type of football in my son’s crib. By the way, I have a grandson who is a very accomplished soccer player. He has played semi pro and now plays for the Army team. He’s real good but small in physical stature. He was a place kicker and high scorer in high school. I’m proud of him for participating in both sports but more so for American Football. He may make it to the pros someday as a place kicker. I can only dream.
